How do I book an online dermatology consultation?Booking a consultation is very simple. Head to the Booking page to browse through the list of registered Consultant Dermatologists. Click on the ‘book’ icon to proceed. In the page that follows, select your date and time and fill in the required information. Click on the ‘Request to Book’ button to submit your booking request. You will receive an automated email to confirm the submission. Once your request has been approved by the Dermatologist you will receive a follow up email confirming your booking.

What information do I need to share to book my appointment?We collect only the necessary information – Name, Phone number, Email, DOB. If any further information is required, you will be contacted for the same.

Do I need a particular device or app for the video consultation?A phone or laptop is fine, with a stable internet connection and browser. You will be provided with a link which will direct you to the video call operating site, and then you can proceed with the consultation.

How do I know if my booking with the dermatologist is confirmed?Once your booking had been confirmed by the Consultant Dermatologist, you will receive a confirmation email.

How do I pay for the dermatology consultation?Payment for the Consultations will have to be made directly to your Consultant Dermatologist. An invoice will be raised to you directly by your Dermatologist post the consultation process. DermUK does not mediate this.

How will the consultation take place?The online video consultations will take place on an encrypted video calling interface. After your consultation with a Consultant Dermatologist is confirmed, you will receive a link on your provided mobile number and email close to your consultation time. On clicking this link, you will be connected to your Online Video Consultation.

Will my video consultation be recorded?The online video consultation will take place on an encrypted interface and no recordings will be made.

Can I send photos to my dermatologist for a consultation?We don’t believe that looking at a photo alone will suffice for a good dermatology opinion. It may serve well as a triage service, but for a proper consultation a good history is very important. Counselling regarding the diagnosis and management options will also be available through the video consultation, therefore improving the outcome.

How will I get my prescription from my dermatologist?On completion of your Video Consultation with the Dermatologist, your prescription will be sent to your address by post. Please Note: This is a private prescription, you will need to pay the full charge for the medicines.

How do I book a follow up consultation with a dermatologist?Booking a follow up appointment with a Consultant Dermatologist is the same as the regular booking process. Please note that follow up consultations will also be chargeable and the same fee applies.

Can I book an appointment on short notice?Yes! If you are is need of immediate attention, please click here to fill out a simple form. We will arrange for an appointment the same evening with one of our registered Consultant Dermatologists. Please note, additional charges apply for bookings on short notice. This will reflect on the invoice sent to you by the Consultant Dermatologist.

Can I avail the services from outside the UK?No, unfortunately at the moment we are only operating within the UK.

What if I didn’t get an email confirmation?Please check your junk/spam folder. Write to us at contact@dermuk.com, and we will help you resolve the issue.

How do you vouch for the standard of your services?We only list currently practising consultant dermatologists and do not encourage retired or consultants not on the specialist register for dermatology.
